Conveyancing Paralegal

Salary: Competitive – depending on experience

Full Time: Monday – Friday, 9:30 – 17:30

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Residential Property Paralegal to join our busy conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes and be confident in supporting transactions from instruction to post-completion. Excellent communication, file management, and time management skills are essential. You must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to client service.

Key Duties:

  • Assist fee earners with freehold and leasehold residential sale, purchase, remortgage, and transfer of equity matters.
  • Draft and prepare standard conveyancing documents, including contract packs, SDLT forms, AP1s, and completion statements.
  • Order and review property searches, Land Registry documents, and supporting title documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to progress matters smoothly.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case files on the firm’s case management system (LEAP).
  • Monitor deadlines and key dates, ensuring tasks are completed within timeframes.
  • Prepare files for exchange and completion, and assist with post-completion tasks including registration and file closure.
  • Support compliance with SRA and AML regulations through proper file management and checks.

 

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal or in a similar legal support role is preferred.
  • A solid grasp of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with case management systems (LEAP desirable).
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward resolving issues and keeping transactions moving.
  • A team player who can also work independently when needed.
